Scan & Deliver provides electronic delivery of articles and book chapters from journals, books, periodicals, conference proceedings and other materials. Once materials are scanned, you will receive a link to the document with a password via email to view, download or print, usually within two business days.
All Embry-Riddle faculty, staff and students are eligible for Scan & Deliver, and there is no charge to use this service.
Items that can be provided via Scan & Deliver include magazine and journal articles, book chapters, tables of contents (TOC), and other portions of a work.
To submit a request, locate the item in EagleSearch and select the request option, or use the Scan & Deliver Chapter Request form.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of the copyright materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, library and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than in private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order, if, in its judgement fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
