Worldwide patrons are responsible for any items borrowed from the Hunt Library beginning from the date the borrower receives them until they are received back at the Hunt Library. The date due information can be found in the email sent to the patron at the time of check out or in My Library Account. It is the responsibility of the borrower to keep track of due dates and ensure the items are returned on time. Please allow for the time it takes to ship the book back to the library.
Overdue notices will be sent by email two days after the materials are due. If the materials are not returned within 20 days after the due date, the books are considered lost. A $75.00 fee is charged to the patron’s University account at this time.
Materials that are returned six months past the due date or later are not eligible for refund or credit because a replacement item has already been purchased. Exceptions may be made by a member of library administration.
Patrons returning materials that are damaged (due to abuse or misuse such as water damage, torn pages, writing on pages or highlighting, etc.) will be billed a fee of $75.00.
Borrowing privileges may be suspended for students, faculty and staff when $100.00 in fees is owed or if other abuses occur.
Occasionally, Worldwide library staff may request that borrowed materials that are in high demand be returned prior to the due date. Please be considerate of these requests.
If you have any questions, please call the Access Services Department during library hours, at 386-226-6592, or email dbcirc@erau.edu.
