Virtual Cram with Cookies event

Don’t be sad about the library’s current no food and drink policy, be glad that we are keeping the biannual tradition alive in new and creative ways.  This semester we’ve enhanced the popular pet therapy area and added guided meditations.  Virtual Cram with Cookies will be launched as part of Stress Relief Week (April 26-29). Students can also watch for an announcement about free snack coupons to be handed out on Friday, April 30.

Database highlights

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data from approximately 12,000 journals from publishers in over 80 countries.  You may use JCR to find the best journal in which to publish your research.  Each journal’s profile includes a variety of data points, including citation counts, the Web of Science Journal Impact Factor, subject category, number of articles published, contributor affiliations, open access article counts, and more. Reports can be generated to evaluate research impact.

Engineering Village (El Compendex) contains over 20 million records indexed using the Engineering Index Thesaurus and covering 190 engineering disciplines.  The literature includes journals, conference proceedings, government reports, detailed abstracts of ASTM standards, and ebooks. Search this database directly, as the indexing does not pull into EagleSearch. Video tutorials are available from the vendor. Contact Brittany Rhea Deputy if you would like a webinar scheduled.
